To find this was a real treat a beautiful mother of pearl vintage and almost certainly handpainted button which would be from the late 1930's in my opinion. It's a lovely soft ivory/cream with a black intricate design overall. I placed part of a small silvertone metal button and then added and opaque button to finish.

Measures 20mm (3/4") across and comes with an adjustable nickle free ring base.
