Polymer Clay Earrings Abstract Pattern, Orange Aqua Turquoise by Averilpam

Product Description:

Handmade polymer clay earrings. I have made these earrings using a technique called 'mokume gane'. This involves layering sheets of polymer clay - in this case 2 shades of aqua/turquoise and 2 shades of orange/brown. Then a texture is impressed into the clay and gradually the raised texture is shaved away using a sharp blade. The colours underneath then reveal the pattern from the texture. No two sheets of polymer clay made this way will be quite the same resulting in unique pieces. The round disc beads measure approx 20mm/0.75inch across and are topped with two semi precious stone beads. One is red/brown mooikite, the other is howlite which has been dyed turquoise. The earrings hang approx 40mm/1.5inches from sterling silver ear wires.
