Ivory Linen and Lace Pincushion upcycled and by Lynwoodcrafts

Shared by Lynwoodcrafts in the Fabric Crafts

Product Description:

A very pretty pincushion, carefully created from vintage table linen, and carefully rescued vintage lace, combined with new hand embroidery, using vintage flax floss, trimmed with vintage buttons and finished with a hand crochet edging.

The top of the pincushion is cut from a vintage table cloth. A crocheted, white lace trim, cut from a vintage table mat has been appliqued to center of the panel. To one side of the lace the pincushion is trimmed with three vintage buttons. The other side has been hand embroidered with two daisy motifs, using vintage floss. The back of the pincushion is white felt, produced from recycled plastic bottles. The top and back panel are blanket stitched together using a white crochet cotton. The same crochet cotton is used for a crocheted picot edging, into the blanket stitch, to complete the design.
