Folksy: Sparkling Labradorite Necklace

Product Description:

This stunning necklace is made up of labradorite and glass beads, which are set off by a central focal bead which has been hand made in fine silver.

The bead is made using Art Clay Silver (silver clay, which when fired leaves a piece of solid fine silver, .999 quality), which has a delicate floral pattern raised on the surface. The bead has then been tumble polished to give it a lovely soft shine. These labradorite beads are particularly gorgeous, with some lovely blue flashes to them – the photos do not do them justice! I haven’t been able to get any more like it, so this may be the only necklace of this kind I will be able to make! They are set off beautifully by sparkling facetted glass beads. The clasp is sterling silver, and echoes the floral pattern on the bead and is very attractive in its own right – you can see the clasp in the fifth image. The necklace is approximately 17 inches long.
