This beautiful stained glass decoration would not only make a gorgeous addition to your Christmas Tree this year, but would also make a fantastic birthday gift for a friend or loved one, or a special treat for yourself. Originally designed as a Christmas decoration it could also be used as a suncatcher and hung in a window or conservatory. Made from a beautiful red rippled glass it could be purchased as a birthstone colour gift for someone born in January (Garnet) or July (Ruby).Individually handcrafted using traditional methods the glass is hand cut and wrapped in copper foil and then soldered, washed and polished. Each of the silver coloured mounts is also handcrafted, with the red and silver beads added during the crafting process. The beaded wires are then soldered to the glass, the beaded trim at the bottom added as well as the beaded hanging loop. Finally the whole piece is given a last clean before adding the silver edged red ribbon or a 15cm silver plated chain
