Product Description:
A richly textured and decorated design featuring a wild flower meadow, decorates the cover of this needle book. A gift that would be welcomed by any needlework enthusiast.Sky blue wool fibers have been felted to a background of kunin felt (produced from recycled plastic bottles). Hand-dyed wool fibers have been felted in swathes to represent the undulating moor. Stitching in fine cotton has been added to the sky to 'stabilise' the felting. Simple embroidery stitches, in tapestry wool and embroidery threads, have been used to represent bracken and heathers. Silhouetted trees have been created by felting in 'teased out' yarn and enhancing the result with stitching in fine cotton. The needle book is edged in blanket stitch using threads to match the areas of the design. Simple embroidery stitches have been used to embroider details of fern fronds and heathers.
