Product Description:

This pretty cushion cover has been designed around a central panel re-cycled from a pretty vintage tablecloth, hand-embroidered with flower baskets.

A pretty square cushion cover to fit a 45 cm x 45 cm cushion pad (not supplied). The embroidered panel has been cut from a vintage tablecloth. The background fabric is soft - possibly a rayon/linen mix and has washed well. The embroidery on this panel did not need repair, but I have added a couple of leaves to balance the design. The vintage panel has been mounted on a backing fabric to which it has been hand-stitched, hiding tiny stitches, in white thread, close to the embroidery stitches. This backing gives some stability and improved durability to the vintage fabric. A patchwork border has been applied to the central embroidered panel, the fabrics carefully chosen to compliment the embroidery. The corner panels feature commercially embroidered
