Product Description:

I love agates of all kinds, but especially red agate--it's glassy and rich. It transmits light with a heavy, earthly glow, like the very last embers of a dying fire, with an adamantine smoothness. Sometimes there will be moody wisps of black inside, as if they were saved from a fire. Here I've combined them with delicate, faceted roundels of palest periwinkle glass, separated by large antiqued copper beaded spacers. They hang from my hand-forged headpins and earwires. The copper wire in these earrings has been sealed with a protective lacquer to preserve patina and shine, and protect against sensitivity.
