Chunky warm leg warmers multi striped Fair Isle effect knit wool cotton mixA pair of warm legwarmers in a fun self striping Fair Isle effect in cheerful shades of pink, peach and burgundy red. The yarn is Sirdar Crofter Chunky - a blend of 60% acrylic,25% cotton and 15% wool. The cotton makes these legwarmers particularly soft and comfortable to wear. They are perfect for those of you battling with snowy conditions - but they are also quite a trendy fashion statement.
I have designed them slightly more stretchy at one end so that they can be pulled over boot tops to eliminate that cold bit. The legwarmers were knitted in the round, so no annoying seams. They measure approx. 20 inches long and approx. 10 inches circumference just below the main ribbed section - but they can be stretchy or worn slouchy as you prefer. The main part is in stocking stitch (stockinette) to show off the rather special colours and the ends are ribbed.
