Product Description:

I started making this brooch by needle felting a background using a variety of colours. Then I chose a blue butterfly button to be the main feature and hand stitched three lazy daisies using red pearl cotton on to the surface. I gathered together various beads, sequins, more buttons, lace motifs and hand stitched them to the felted background. My idea was to produce a sumptuous surface with an explosion of colour, texture and shape.
