Product Description:
This is one of my latest wet felted pictures. It was inspired by the lilac in my garden which is beginning to flower and the roses which are beginning to show buds.In order to make this wall art I first needle felted the fibres together to hold them in place. I then wet felted the fibres together and added some stitching to give added texture.
Wet felt making is an ancient method of creating a very strong fabric. Artefacts which were made by wet felting have been found in Egyptian tombs.Unlike needle felted pictures this felted wall art does not need framing.In order to stop an accumulation of dust you can either take it outside and gently tap or gently hoover it.
The picture comes already stretched on an artists canvas and is ready to hang.
