Silver and copper fold formed leaf necklace by TheHappyTreeHugger

Product Description:

I was inspired by two things when I made this pendant......the leaves I kicked around in the park with the children that day, and the dreamcatchers I have in the bedrooms of the house.

I think there is a lovely contrast between the rich borax patinated copper leaves and the single polished silver leaf, they are joined together with a jumpring to allow free movement, then attached to a larger hammered ring which hangs from a long chain.....perfect for this kind of largish pendant, and finished with my own hand forged figure of eight hook clasp with balled ends.

I am using the fold forming technique plenty at the moment as I love the freeform possibilities and the lovely lightweight but robust and strong qualities the technique offers me as a metalsmith and of course an avid jewellery wearer.

Enjoy.
