Red Creek Jasper Pendant with Sari Silk in Slate by lunedesigns

Product Description:

I love the spicy brick red and teal veining in this red creek jasper pendant! It is in a "horse eye" donut shape. I found it locally at a wonderful little bead shop that always has a great selection of interesting stone focals.

I started and stopped with assembling this three-piece bail over a period of several weeks. When I got a shipment of wonderful recycled sari silk from Mudhound Studio on Etsy, the slate blue/teal silk seemed a perfect match for the stone. I wrapped little copper "bones" made in my torch onto the silk, and covered the ends of the silk with some coils I created from strips of copper sheet which I annealed and textured. I attached the pendant section to some sturdy copper-plated ball chain with my hand-forged textured connector rings, and finished it off with a short length of my handmade oval chain.
