Product Description:

This shawl is made from a lightweight woven check silk taffeta in shades of black, white & grey. The tafetta gives the shawl a structural quality which is wonderful over an evening dress or for a special occasion. The silk is nuno felted with soft merino wool creating a fabulous texture as it shrinks and scrunches the fabric as part of the felting process giving a striking and unique look. On the top side the shawl is embellished with black and white yarns swirled around the edges. The top and bottom ends are finished with felted tassles. Overall the shawl has individualistic style - quirky and eye catching. Not the kind of piece you can buy on the high street! The reverse side is more subtle - has the same colours but none of the swirling yarns. It measures approximately 82" ( 208cm) long (including tassles) and around 21" ( 51cm) wide, narrower in some places due to the style.
