Knitted wedding wrap, violets, warm shawl, long wide scarf, cosy stole This is a luxury one-off hand knitted wrap that took many hours to produce. It would be perfect for a special occasion like a wedding - but it is versatile enough to be worn all year round. It is an elegant piece, definitely suitable as a cover up over a Christmas evening dress or to protect you from the breezes if you are lucky enough to be on a cruise. I have made a limited range of these in different colour palettes. They are linked by design but every wrap is unique - I would not be able to reproduce them exactly even if I wanted to. This one was inspired by the wild violets which were in such profusion this year. (The next to the last picture shows the work in progress on a bed of them) I chose many shades of purple and lilac, set off by a whole range of fresh greens and a discreet flash of gold. There is also a little burgundy, olive and ivory, for contrast.
