Bluebell scarf, traditional shetland wool, Colinette ribbon fringe, classic drop stitch design This is a luxury one-off hand knitted scarf. It would be perfect for a special occasion - like a wedding - but it is versatile enough to be worn all year round. An elegant, luxury statement piece. I chose two special yarns. The main body is created from a classic shetland pure wool, hand dyed (though not by me this time) in glorious, subtle shades of blue and purple. The stitch is a classic ladder of finely worked drop stitch ripples. For the edging I tracked down the perfect toning ribbon from the fabulous Colinette - now sadly no longer dyeing. So this unique piece could never be recreated, even if I wanted to. This is a classic, piece which should last a lifetime - and become an heirloom.
