Odin was the lord of the gods, or 'The Allfather' as he was known, in the Old Norse pantheon. He was a god of battle, of wisdom, of journeymen, he was even said to have given poetry to the world. Odin was always known to carry his spear, Gungnir, and this symbol was a prevalent symbol in Viking culture.
This piece is made from layers of American black walnut and Canadian maple, which have then been cut and refined into this iconic shape before being sanded and finished to the highest degree and accompanied by chips of real Baltic amber.
