Tick Tock...Raven Skull Necklace with Vintage Watch by ladnamedfelix

Product Description:

In a common North American story, the people tried to convince Chief Raven that everyone should get two lives. But Raven selfishly preferred that people and animals only get one life. This is because Raven is known to like eating the eyes of dead carrion. As Raven was chief and had spoken, the decision was accepted.

The people were upset, however, and decided to make Raven regret his decision. Raven's son was killed in an arranged arrow target-practice mishap. A tree was felled that struck and killed his daughter.

When this happened, Raven tried in vain to reverse his decision so that everybody would get two lives. But he was reminded, "You are the chief, and you've already spoken".

This resin skull is cast from a mold made with an actual raven skull. It's blackened beak glitters with remnants of its life's magic (black laser-cut glitter). In the skull's right eye socket, a vintage Waltham pocket watch face rests, a reminder of the ticking clock of mortality. The skull hangs from two bronze pins, attached to two antique bronze diamond filigrees. Gold links secure the filigrees to a 23" large oval link copper chain.

All Lad Named Felix pieces are one-of-a-kind, and no duplicates will be made! This piece is literally unique in every sense.
