Folksy :: "Hag Stone Random Round Stone Wreath" by Half an Acre

Shared by HalfanAcre in the General Crafts

Product Description:

Stones found with a natural hole through them are called Hag Stones. In bygone days, when superstition played a part in everyone's lives, it was common to see these stones hanging above the doors of people's houses in England. They were believed to provide protection for your home and those living within it.

This Random Round was made using stones beach-combed from the shores of the Isle of Wight, England. I have interspersed them with turquoise beads and hung the round with natural jute twine.
