nspired by the classical, intricate look of Victorian jewellery, my necklets incorporate stones, lace, pages of old books, handwritten prose and poetry, all set against deeply oxidised silver, silk and organza ribbons.Each necklet is finished with a handcrafted oxidised sterling clasp.
This one is an ancient-looking, heavily oxidised cast of a Victorian locket front, a gorgeous floral sunburst pattern. I picked the locket up at a flea market a couple of years ago and I can't bear to part with it.... so made a mould to cast it instead! Here it's teamed with a deep green clay rose and semi-precious moss agate beads. All strung on pewter and black ribbons and finished off with a sterling hook clasp.
At just about 16ins, this necklet sits just below your collarbone. V. ladylike.
