Product Description:

The process for creating goldstone was discovered in 17th century in Venice by the Miotti family, which was granted an exclusive license by the Doge. Persistent folklore attributes the discovery and secret of goldstone to an unnamed Italian monastic order, giving rise to the alternate names "monk's gold" or "monkstone". Another name, "stellaria", is based on the starry internal reflections. It is also called "sun sitara".

The beauty of these blue goldstone beads is truly celestial. Each teardrop sparkles with starlight, catching the light at every angle. The teardrops are nestled between alternating crystal-colored and peridot fire-polished faceted Czech glass beads. The beads are strung along high-quality beading line that is interwoven with the links on a length of silver-plated steel chain, creating a spiral that twists beautifully around the wrist. The bracelet terminates in a sterling silver lobster clasp and a gorgeous baby-blue vintage Czech glass crystal, salvaged from a pair of 1960's earrings.

All Lad Named Felix pieces are one-of-a-kind, and no duplicates will be made! This piece is literally unique in every sense.
