Product Description:

Butterflies have been the subject of myth throughout the world's history. Butterflies have been used by the Chinese and Japanese cultures for centuries as symbols of joy and the essence of happiness. The Irish believe that butterflies are the souls of the dead waiting to pass through purgatory. Northern Europeans throught that dreams were the result of the butterfly's wanderings through other worlds. The Blackfeet Indians believe that dreams are brought to us in sleep by a butterfly. Whatever the symbology means to you, it's undeniable that the butterfly evokes a sense of wonder in all.

The antique Waltham pocket watch movement on this pendant contains all its original jewels and gears, and is beautifully engraved over it's face. A translucent acrylic butterfly alights upon it, adorned with a fire-polished Czech teardrop as it's "head" and two delicate strands of copper wire as "antennae". The pendant is backed by an antique bronze filigree, which attaches to a gold-plated chain that is interrupted asymetrically by nine 4mm fire-polished Czech glass round beads in a gorgeous honey yellow color. This necklace is distinct, unique, and striking.

All Lad Named Felix pieces are one-of-a-kind, and no duplicates will be made! This piece is literally unique in every sense.
