I knitted this one from a soft, warm 100% wool, mixed red and orange, quite subtle colour changes and not too bright.
The beanie is knitted in stocking stitch (stockinette) and it has a short ribbed section at the brim.
It was knitted in the round and stretches to fit all but the largest head.
The hat measures 18 inches at the base but is stretchy (thanks to a touch of knitting elastic) and 8.25 inches top to bottom, so it can be worn with some slouch - or you can roll the brim over and have it as a classic beanie.
