Product Description:

The cover of this needle book has been formed from strip patchwork stitched from vintage beige linens and a selection of lace, ribbon and lace trims from my collection. It has been further embellished by the addition of lace flowers and embroidered leaves - stitched in vintage flax floss.

Strips of beige, damask table linens have been strip patchworked using fabric cut from a recylced shirt as a foundation. The patchwork has been decorated with cream lace and ribbon. White lace flower trimmings have been arranged on both the front and the back of the cover. Hand embroidery in vintage flax has been used to complete both arrangements. Small cross stitches in the vintage flax provide extra decoration. The case is lined with cream curtain lining, backed with iron-on interfacing.
