Copper Burgundy Gold Brown Russet Scarf or Necklace by hautemarme

This is thinner than my usual Hairpin Lace scarves because of the delicateness of the zigzag yarn making this the perfect piece of “neck jewelry". I used a flat silky ribbon yarn called “Incredible” in beautiful fall colors and a zigzag yarn, “Nightlife”, in brown tones which is lovingly wrapped with a copper metallic thread creating the feeling of being in Paris on a winter's evening as the lights come up.

<br />Hairpin lace is a vintage technique using a combination of crochet and a small loom. Each scarf I make is unique, one of a kind. I may use one of the same yarns in another project but it will always have something different to make it exclusive.
