Beeswax and Damar Resin is melted to it's liquid form and painted (about 6 - 8 layers) each onto a rigid wood base. The image is then carved and filled with pigmented wax or painted in layers. The backs are a solid color of encaustic paint. They are then coated with a protective clear finish. Happy Holidays!
