Baby hat mittens set boy girl knit multi fun This set consists of a baby beret or tam hat, approx. 6 months to a year, and some thumbless mittens. They are hand knitted from a warm merino wool in unusual muted unisex stripes. The hat measures 16 inches circumference at the brim and 7.5 inches diameter across the top. It is knitted in stocking stitch with a ribbed edge and it is finished with a classic i-cord top knot. (I have to say it would look much cuter on a baby than on my wine glass!) The little mitts measure 4.5 inches in length and the ribbing helps keep them in place. They are made without thumbs, which I dont usually do except for newborn sizes, but my thinking here is that they would be perfect to slip on as a second pair in very cold weather - babies in strollers can end up with very cold hands!
