Product Description:

For this project I chose to use a natural linen fabric as the base layer. I cut it out using a pre-drawn template, and then interfaced it. I selected and cut out a range of different fabrics including vintage lace, silk, brocade, printed organza and more linen. I chose the image which had been printed on linen, and then all the fabric pieces were arranged on to the natural linen base.

Each element was then machined stitched using zig zag stitch. After all the stitching had been completed, I then added some hand stitching and nine vintage buttons and three cream guipure lace flowers. Once this had been completed, I bound the cover to the hardback book.
