Product Description:

This wooden dough bowl is carved from local Missouri sassafras and finished in organic tung oil and local natural beeswax. Variations in the grain of the wood create a natural transition in the tone of the color which adds character and texture to the piece. All variations in color are natural to the wood, no dye or stain has been used.

This bowl can be a center piece on your coffee table or a handy serving dish at parties. It is sanded perfectly smooth and the wax finish adds to the luster of the piece. The variations in color of the bowl are natural to the wood and make already rare dough bowl into a unique piece of art and utility.

All bowls are finished in 4-6 coats of organic natural tung oil and polished with a homemade tung oil/local bees wax polish. These bowls are safe for food use. In order to maintain the original finish recommended for dry foods only such as whole fruit, breads and nuts.
