Product Description:

I had a wonderful dream: I could see auras! & everything had one, including inanimate objects. The auras weren’t just a halo of colour, but were strewn with tinkertoys & spikes & bits of flotsam. In this piece I tried to guess what a pencil’s aura would be like.

This piece was made in a pet- & smoke- free studio. The bands of colour are made from assorted fabrics & materials – satin, vinyl, velvet, something called “dancewear”, crinkly gauze, painted paper, aluminum foil, ribbon. The little bits are glass beads & wire coils. Hand- & machine-stitched, bound in black bias tape.
