This is a beautiful vintage music cabinet that I have renovated and given a shabby chic / "distressed" design.
The cabinet has two doors, and inside is one shelf. Below this shelf are four vertical dividers where the cabinet would have been used to store music records. At the back of the cabinet there is a small square cut out of the wood, presumably for letting wires through. This hole is approximately 2 inches square.
I have cut out the panels in the cabinet doors, and replaced it with some chicken wire. Behind this, on the back of the doors, I have hung some lovely handmade red gingham fabric panels/curtains. These can be removed and washed if desired.
The top of cabinet also opens onto a hinge.
The cabinet has been painted a lovely off-white colour, and then carefully sanded down to give it a shabby chic look.
I have also kept the original handles.
