Product Description:

For my Blue Bird box, I started with layers of pink, blue, yellow, and white paint. Then I sanded it all down and painted more on top. I wasn't sure where I was going with the design of this box until a second sanding revealed all the beautiful layers of color. I had the perfect image of a bird with wings spread wide to decorate the top, but first I painted him a nice pink bush and tree in which to live. I think he is quite happy there. The bright pink interior complements exterior colors. I've coated the entire box with a clear acrylic sealer for durability.

This square wooden box is perfect for jewelry, keys, change, or whatever; this cheery box will look lovely sitting atop your dresser, vanity, or console table. The jewelry box is hand-painted and distressed in the shabby chic style. The lid has also been decoupaged with a colorful bird ready to take flight.
