Product Description:

Ball Point pen made from a rare wood called Shittah.This type of wood can be cut legally in the Sinai Desert. The source has only been given permission to cut one tree and only a small amount is available. This wood is difficult to get and may not be available again for some time. To understand why it is an important wood see Exodus, Chapter 25 in the Bible. The wood is a pleasure to work with and even more beautiful when finished. Shittah trees yield a valuable, hard, close-grained timber, not readily attacked by insects

Then pen started out as a 5 inch by half inch by six inch piece of wood. It was cut to length, shaped and sanded on a wood lathe and then finished with tung oil.It uses standard parker refills available at office max, office depot etc and measures approximately five and a half inches by one-half inch
