Handmade crochet baby blanket in ripple or chevron style lovely size for child's bed.
I enjoyed crocheting this pastel ripple afghan as it was a challenging new pattern for me to make. I chose seven colors to create a rainbow effect for this blanket in white, pink, apricot, yellow, mint green, blue and lavender .
Using double crochet stitches throughout this afghan for all the colors, but adding simple line of slip stitches to offset the white block with just a touch of color.
This throw will fit a child's bed 34 1/2 inches by 54 1/2 inches ( 87.6 cm x 138.4 cm) as well as a crib, playpen or just to cuddle up in. It may look heavy, but it's not as I chose to make it with a 2 ply acrylic yarn which make's it light weight and soft to the touch, and machine washable and dry able.
