ACEO's are "Art Cards, Editions and Originals". These cards have one main rule - they are 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches - the size of a trading card. This is a one of a kind original painting signed and title on back.

Painted on a composite wood base, layers of encaustic paint (beeswax & resin) are painted and fused together between each layer, the tree branch was carved into the beeswax then filled with encaustics and scraped once hardened. The blooms were then painted on top and fused into the wax below by gently melting with a heat gun.

What is Encaustic: Encaustic is a mixture of beeswax, damar resin, pigments and other mediums. The painted wax layers are fused and buffed to create a unique textured image. Ranges of styles and techniques for encaustic paintings are endless. The possibilities for luminous color, variety of texture and depth are quite limitless.
