Hypnos (roman: Somnus), father of Morpheus and Thanatos, was the greek god of sleep and poppy was his sacred plant. His hands and head were adorned with poppies. Hypnos gave prophetic dreams and he had the ability to heal emotional pain during sleep. Poppy was also a flower of death as it was associated with the Lord of the Underwolrd and of eternal sleep, Hades. Poppies guearded the entrance to the Underworld.This bottle comes with a black leather cord and contains poppy stamens in glycerine. In the last photo you can see how it looked, minutes after we made it. The stamens gradually release a purple haze which gives the liquid a dreamy and mysterious tone.
Wear this small bottle on your neck or place it on your bed side table and ask the poppy spirit to answer your question through a dream or to help you connect with the hidden realms.
